AN ACT concerning government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Compensation Review Act is amended by adding
Section 3.1 as follows:
(25 ILCS 120/3.1 new)
Sec. 3.1. FY10 furlough days. During the fiscal year
beginning on July 1, 2009, every member of the General Assembly
is mandatorily required to forfeit 12 days of compensation. The
State Comptroller shall deduct the equivalent of 1/261 of the
annual salary of each member from the compensation of that
member in each of the 12 months of the fiscal year.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
