AN ACT concerning employment.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
Community Employment Opportunities Act.
Section 5. Purpose. The purpose of this Act is to remove
permanent barriers to employment opportunities for people with
criminal records. This Act seeks to ensure that employers have
the flexibility to hire the most qualified applicants for any
position judged on an individual basis.
