215 ILCS 5/155.20 from Ch. 73, par. 767.20

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning arbitration of medical malpractice disputes.

1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by
5changing Section 155.20 as follows:
6 (215 ILCS 5/155.20) (from Ch. 73, par. 767.20)
7 Sec. 155.20. All final arbitration decisions rendered in
8relation to disputes or controversies arising out of injuries
9allegedly caused by reason of hospital or health care provider
10malpractice shall be recognized by any insurance company doing
11business in the the State of Illinois and all findings of facts
12relating to liability and awards of damages in relation thereto
13which are a part of the final arbitration decision shall be
14binding on such insurance companies.
