Amends the Election Code. Provides that an election authority shall include the methods of voting used when providing the State Board of Elections unit-by-unit vote totals within 22 days after each election.

1 AN ACT concerning elections.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
5Section 22-6 as follows:
6 (10 ILCS 5/22-6) (from Ch. 46, par. 22-6)
7 Sec. 22-6. E-Canvass.
8 (a) Within 22 days after each election, each Election
9Authority shall provide unit-by-unit vote totals to the State
10Board of Elections in an electronic format to be prescribed by
11the State Board of Elections. The election authority shall
12include the methods of voting used in its unit-by-unit vote
13totals to the State Board of Elections. The State Board of
14Elections shall promulgate rules necessary for the
15implementation of this Section.
16 (b) Beginning with the November 2014 general election and
17every primary, consolidated, general, and special election
18thereafter, within 52 days after each election, the State
19Board of Elections shall publish the precinct-by-precinct vote
20totals on its website and make them available in a
21downloadable form.
