Bill Title: Amends the State Finance Act. Creates the Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury Public Service Announcement Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides that all donations to the Department of Veterans' Affairs for the purpose of providing public service announcements to inform veterans of benefits and services provided by the State to veterans suffering from traumatic brain injuries shall be deposited into the Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury Public Service Announcement Fund. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning finance.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
Sections 5.786 and 6z-87 as follows:

Sec. 5.786. The Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury Public
Service Announcement Fund.

Sec. 6z-87. The Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury Public
Service Announcement Fund; creation. The Veterans Traumatic
Brain Injury Public Service Announcement Fund is created as a
special fund in the State treasury. The Department of Veterans'
Affairs may solicit and collect gifts, donations, and
charitable contributions from any private individual or entity
for the purpose of providing public service announcements to
inform veterans of the services and benefits of State and
federal laws, including but not limited to the services and
benefits available to veterans suffering from traumatic brain
injuries. The gifts, donations, and charitable contributions
shall be deposited into the Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury
Public Service Announcement Fund. All money in the Veterans

Traumatic Brain Injury Public Service Announcement Fund shall
be used, subject to appropriation by the General Assembly, by
the Department of Veterans' Affairs for this purpose.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
