Bill Title: Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes: Provides the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation shall adopt rules for continuing education for persons licensed under the Act that require a completion of 25 hours (rather than 24 hours) of approved continuing education per license renewal period. Provides that for each license renewal period, one hour of continuing education shall be domestic violence and sexual assault awareness education as prescribed by rule of the Department (rather the one hour of continuing education in domestic violence and sexual assault awareness education being required for the initial renewal and permissive for subsequent renewals).

AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Massage Licensing Act is amended by
changing Section 67 as follows:

Sec. 67. Continuing education. The Department shall adopt
rules for continuing education for persons licensed under this
Act that require a completion of 25 24 hours of approved
continuing education per license renewal period. For each
license renewal period, one hour of continuing education shall
be domestic violence and sexual assault awareness education as
prescribed by rule of the Department. The one-hour domestic
violence and sexual assault awareness continuing education
course shall be provided by a continuing education provider
approved by the Department. The Department may adopt rules
regarding the requirements for domestic violence and sexual
assault awareness continuing education courses and teachers.
The Department shall establish by rule a means for the
verification of completion of the continuing education
required by this Section. This verification may be
accomplished through audits of records maintained by the
licensee, by requiring the filing of continuing education
certificates with the Department, or by other means
established by the Department.
