1 AN ACT concerning employment.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Personnel Record Review Act is amended by
5changing Section 8 as follows:
6 (820 ILCS 40/8) (from Ch. 48, par. 2008)
7 Sec. 8. An employer shall review a personnel record before
8releasing information to a third party and, except when the
9release is ordered to a party in a legal action or arbitration,
10delete disciplinary reports, letters of reprimand, or other
11records of disciplinary action which are more than 10 4 years
12old.
