Bill Title: Amends the Personnel Record Review Act. Provides that, except as otherwise specified, an employer shall delete disciplinary reports, letters of reprimand, or other records of disciplinary action that are more than 10 (rather than 4) years old.

1 | AN ACT concerning employment.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Personnel Record Review Act is amended by | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
5 | changing Section 8 as follows:

7 | Sec. 8.
An employer shall review a personnel record before | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

information to a third party and, except when the | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
9 | release is ordered to
a party in a legal action or arbitration, | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
10 | delete disciplinary reports,
letters of reprimand, or other | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
11 | records of disciplinary action which are
