1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Downstate Public Transportation Act is
5 amended by changing Section 2-15.2 as follows:
6 (30 ILCS 740/2-15.2)
7 Sec. 2-15.2. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no
8 later than 60 days following the effective date of this
9 amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route
10 public transportation services provided by, or under grant or
11 purchase of service contracts of, every participant, as defined
12 in Section 2-2.02 (1)(a), shall be provided without charge to
13 all senior citizen residents of the participant that are
14 eligible for benefits under the Senior Citizens and Disabled
15 Persons Property Tax Relief and Pharmaceutical Assistance Act
16 aged 65 and older, under such conditions as shall be prescribed
17 by the participant.

19 Section 10. The Metropolitan Transit Authority Act is
20 amended by changing Section 51 as follows:

1 Sec. 51. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no later
2 than 60 days following the effective date of this amendatory
3 Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route public
4 transportation services provided by, or under grant or purchase
5 of service contracts of, the Board shall be provided without
6 charge to all senior citizens of the Metropolitan Region (as
7 such term is defined in 70 ILCS 3615/1.03) that are eligible
8 for benefits under the Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons
9 Property Tax Relief and Pharmaceutical Assistance Act aged 65
10 and older, under such conditions as shall be prescribed by the
11 Board.

13 Section 15. The Local Mass Transit District Act is amended
14 by changing Section 8.6 as follows:

16 Sec. 8.6. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no later
17 than 60 days following the effective date of this amendatory
18 Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route public
19 transportation services provided by, or under grant or purchase
20 of service contracts of, every District shall be provided
21 without charge to all senior citizens of the District that are
22 eligible for benefits under the Senior Citizens and Disabled
23 Persons Property Tax Relief and Pharmaceutical Assistance Act
24 aged 65 and older, under such conditions as shall be prescribed

3 Section 20. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is
4 amended by changing Sections 3A.15 and 3B.14 as follows:
5 (70 ILCS 3615/3A.15)
6 Sec. 3A.15. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no
7 later than 60 days following the effective date of this
8 amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly, any fixed route
9 public transportation services provided by, or under grant or
10 purchase of service contracts of, the Suburban Bus Board shall
11 be provided without charge to all senior citizens of the
12 Metropolitan Region that are eligible for benefits under the
13 Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons Property Tax Relief and
14 Pharmaceutical Assistance Act aged 65 and older, under such
15 conditions as shall be prescribed by the Suburban Bus Board.

23 be provided without charge to all senior citizens of the

2 Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons Property Tax Relief and
3 Pharmaceutical Assistance Act aged 65 and older, under such
