| 1 | AN ACT concerning State government.
| ||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | adding Section 125 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (5 ILCS 490/125 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 125. Ovarian and Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. The | ||||||
| 8 | month of September of each year is designated as Ovarian and | ||||||
| 9 | Prostate Cancer Awareness Month to be observed throughout the | ||||||
| 10 | State as a month set apart to promote advocacy activities and | ||||||
| 11 | the study of ovarian and prostate cancer and to honor those | ||||||
| 12 | whose lives have been impacted by the disease. The Governor may | ||||||
| 13 | annually issue a proclamation designating September as Ovarian | ||||||
| 14 | and Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and calling upon the | ||||||
| 15 | citizens of the State to promote awareness of ovarian and | ||||||
| 16 | prostate cancer.
