Amends the DCFS Residential Services Construction Grant Program Act. Redefines the term "residential services" by removing language that provides that residential services are services for which the Department of Children and Family Services has rate setting authority. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The DCFS Residential Services Construction
5Grant Program Act is amended by changing Section 5 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 530/5)
7 Sec. 5. Definitions. As used in this Act:
8 "Board" means the Illinois Capital Development Board.
9 "Department" means the Illinois Department of Children and
10Family Services.
11 "Residential services" means child care institution care,
12group home care, independent living services, and transitional
13living services that are licensed and purchased by the
14Department on behalf of children under the age of 22 years who
15are served by the Department and who need 24 hour residential
16care due to emotional and behavior problems and that are
17services for which the Department has rate setting authority.

19 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
20becoming law.
