Bill Text: IL HB1934 | 2011-2012 | 97th General Assembly | Amended
Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that if a water system owned by a public utility is to be acquired by a majority of the affected municipalities by eminent domain, then there must be an intergovernmental agreement in existence between the acquiring municipalities providing for the acquisition. Effective July 1, 2011.

2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1934 as follows:

3 | on page 7, immediately below line 17, by inserting the | ||||||
4 | following: | ||||||
5 | " (j) Any water system acquired by a municipality or | ||||||
6 | municipalities under this Section shall have all work on the | ||||||
7 | acquired system performed by employees who are members of a | ||||||
8 | collective bargaining unit or by contractors whose employees | ||||||
9 | are members of a collective bargaining unit. ".
