1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Professional Boxing Act is amended by
5 changing Section 5 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 105/5) (from Ch. 111, par. 5005)
7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2012)
8 Sec. 5. The The Department shall exercise, but subject to
9 the provisions of this Act, the following functions, powers,
10 and duties: (a) to ascertain the qualifications and fitness of
11 applicants for licenses and permits; (b) to prescribe rules and
12 regulations for the administration of the Act; (c) to conduct
13 hearings on proceedings to refuse to issue, refuse to renew,
14 revoke, suspend, or subject to reprimand licenses or permits
15 under this Act; and (d) to revoke, suspend, or refuse issuance
16 or renewal of such licenses or permits.
