1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing
5 Section 9-101 as follows:
6 (220 ILCS 5/9-101) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 9-101)
7 Sec. 9-101. All rates or other charges made, demanded or
8 received by any product or commodity furnished or to be
9 furnished or for any service rendered or to be rendered shall
10 be just and and reasonable. Every unjust or unreasonable charge
11 made, demanded or received for such product or commodity or
12 service is hereby prohibited and declared unlawful. All rules
13 and regulations made by a public utility affecting or
14 pertaining to its charges to the public shall be just and
15 reasonable.
