Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Architecture Practice Act of 1989. Provides that on or after January 1, 2014 and until January 1, 2016, a person who has graduated with a pre-professional 4-year baccalaureate degree in architecture and has completed such diversified professional training, including academic training, as is required by rules of the Department, and has begun, but has not yet completed, the examination requirements set forth under Section 12 of this Act prior to January 1, 2014, may apply for licensure with the Department upon completion of the requirements under Section 12 of the Act.

2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1344 by replacing | ||||||
3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4 | "Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law | ||||||
5 | of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by | ||||||
6 | adding Section 2105-135 as follows:

7 | (20 ILCS 2105/2105-135 new) | ||||||
8 | Sec. 2105-135. Use of solid filiform needles. The | ||||||
9 | Department shall interpret and administer the professional | ||||||
10 | licensing Acts over which it has jurisdiction, including the | ||||||
11 | interpretation of the phrase "assistive device", in a manner | ||||||
12 | consistent with this Section. Notwithstanding any other | ||||||
13 | provision of law, no person may practice acupuncture or any | ||||||
14 | form of care or treatment using solid filiform needles that | ||||||
15 | break the skin or are considered invasive, unless that person | ||||||
16 | is licensed in this State as a physician, dentist, or |

2 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
