AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
10-20.46 and 34-18.37 as follows:

Sec. 10-20.46. Student athletes; EKG required. Each school
board shall require students who participate in an
interscholastic athletic program to undergo an
electrocardiogram (EKG) test. The State Board of Education
shall determine how often a student must undergo EKG testing.
