Bill Title: Amends various Acts concerning forfeiture, including the Criminal Code of 2012, Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963, and the Drug Asset Forfeiture Procedure Act. Changes terminology of forfeiture and seizure to terms including property taken by the government during an arrest and government taking. Provides that standardized forms regarding property taken by the government during an arrest, including a hardship motion, verified claim, and answer to a complaint, as determined by the Supreme Court, shall be used statewide. Amends the Statute on Statutes. Provides that no prior precedent or case law is intended to be affected by the amendatory Act by the changing of statutory language related to what was previously known as civil asset forfeiture.
