Bill Title: Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that the Department of Corrections has the power to issue an order, whenever a person committed to the Department absconds or absents himself or herself, without authority to do so, from any facility or program to which he or she is assigned. Provides that the order: shall be certified by the Director of Corrections, the Supervisor of the Apprehension Unit, or any person duly designated by the Director, with the seal of the Department affixed; shall be directed to all sheriffs, coroners, and police officers, or to any particular person named in the order; and shall be sufficient warrant for the officer or person named in the order to arrest and deliver the committed person to the proper correctional officials and shall be executed the same as criminal process. Effective immediately.
