Bill Title: Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that after a defendant is found not guilty by reason of insanity, any victim impact statement prepared under the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act shall be sent to the Department of Human Services. Provides that individualized placement evaluations by the Department of Human Services determine the most appropriate setting for forensic treatment based upon a number of factors including mental health diagnosis, proximity to surviving victims, security need, age, gender, and proximity to family. Effective immediately.
