Bill Title: Creates the Local Government Transparency Act. Provides that a mayor, president, vice president, chairman, director, or chief administrator of a unit of local government, either appointed or elected, may not be appointed, elected, or otherwise serve as the treasurer of that unit of local government. Provides that a mayor, president, vice president, chairman, director, or chief administrator of a unit of local government who is also the treasurer of that unit of local government on the effective date of the Act must comply with the provisions of the Act no later than 90 days after the effective date of the Act. Effective immediately.
