Summary

Proposes to amend the Legislature Article of the Illinois Constitution. Prohibits a Representative from serving more than 5 terms of office as a Representative. Prohibits a Senator from serving more than 3 terms of office as a Senator. Effective upon being declared adopted. Applies to the election of General Assembly members in 2012 and thereafter. Specifies that it does not affect the terms of members elected before 2012.
