Summary

Amends the School Code in the provision concerning the election and eligibility of regional superintendents of schools. Removes a prerequisite for eligibility to file a petition at a primary election for nomination as a candidate for the office of regional superintendent of schools that requires a person to be engaged for at least 2 years of the 4 previous years in full-time teaching or supervising in the common public schools or serving as a county superintendent of schools or regional superintendent of schools for an educational service region in this State. Effective immediately.
