Summary

Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that the proponent of a referendum regarding retail sales of alcoholic liquor may withdraw the referendum after it has been submitted. Defines "proponent". Provides procedures for withdrawing a referendum. Provides that in cities, villages, and incorporated towns with more than 200,000 inhabitants if multiple petitions for a referendum setting forth the same or substantially the same question are submitted and the first submitted petition is withdrawn, then the clerk shall accept the next provisionally accepted petition. Effective immediately.
