| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3661 | ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3661, AS AMENDED, | ||||||
| 3 | by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the | ||||||
| 4 | following: | ||||||
| 5 | "Section 5. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act | ||||||
| 6 | is amended by adding Section 17.3 as follows: | ||||||
| 7 | (20 ILCS 3305/17.3 new) | ||||||
| 8 | Sec. 17.3. Federal Aid Disaster Fund. The Federal Aid | ||||||
| 9 | Disaster Fund Trust Fund is a federal trust fund in the State | ||||||
| 10 | treasury. The Trust Fund shall be held separate and apart from | ||||||
| 11 | all public moneys or funds of this State and shall be used for | ||||||
| 12 | receipt of federal funds for disaster preparedness, response, | ||||||
| 13 | and recovery activities. Interest earned by the investment or | ||||||
| 14 | deposit of moneys accumulated in the Trust Fund shall be | ||||||
| 15 | deposited into the Trust Fund. The Agency is authorized to | ||||||
| 16 | expend any moneys in the Trust Fund for the specific purposes | ||||||

| 1 | established by the terms and conditions of federal awards | ||||||
| 2 | received by the Agency and in any amount that the Agency deems | ||||||
| 3 | necessary to make grants and pay expenses in connection with | ||||||
| 4 | its emergency management and preparedness programs. | ||||||
| 5 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
| 6 | becoming law.". | ||||||
