| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2769 on page 1, | ||||||
| 3 | lines 4 and 5, by replacing "Section 3-6002" with "Sections | ||||||
| 4 | 3-6002 and 3-9002"; and
| ||||||
| 5 | on page 1, immediately below line 12, by inserting the | ||||||
| 6 | following:

| 7 | "(55 ILCS 5/3-9002) (from Ch. 34, par. 3-9002)

| 8 | Sec. 3-9002. Commencement of duties. The State's attorney | ||||||
| 9 | shall
enter upon the duties of his or her office on the first | ||||||
| 10 | day in the month of
December 1 following his or her election on | ||||||
| 11 | which the State's attorney's office is
required, by statute or | ||||||
| 12 | by action of the county board, to be open.
