AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1597
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1597 by replacing
everything after the enacting clause with the following:
"(P.A. 83-841, Sec. 2 rep.)
Section 5. "An Act authorizing the Director of Central
Management Services to convey certain described lands",
approved September 26, 1983, Public Act 83-841, is amended by
repealing Section 2.
Section 10. "An Act authorizing the Director of Central
Management Services to convey certain described lands",
approved September 26, 1983, Public Act 83-841, is amended by
adding Section 2.5 as follows:
(P.A. 83-841, Sec. 2.5 new)
Sec. 2.5. The Department of Central Management Services
shall execute and record a release of the reverter clause

contained in the quitclaim deed filed in the office of the
Kankakee County Recorder on January 26, 1984 as Document No. 84
00666 upon the payment by the Village of Manteno to the State
of Illinois of the fair market value as determined by an
appraisal procured by the Village of Manteno using conditions
agreed upon by the State of Illinois for such appraisal.
The Village of Manteno is prohibited from selling the
property to a private entity within 3 years from the recording
date of the quitclaim deed releasing the reverter clause.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.".
