AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5667
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5667 on page 1, line
9, after "(a)", by inserting "In this Section, "companion
animal" has the same meaning ascribed to the term in Section
2.01a of the Humane Care for Animals Act."; and
on page 1, line 12, by replacing "3.01, 3.02," with "3.02"; and
on page 1, line 12, by replacing "this Act" with "the Humane
Care for Animals Act against a companion animal"; and
on page 1, line 16, by replacing "3.01, 3.02," with "3.02"; and
on page 1, line 16, by replacing "this Act" with "the Humane
Care for Animals Act against a companion animal"; and
on page 2, lines 17 and 18, by replacing "zoo, or other
business establishment where companion animals are present"

with "or zoo"; and
on page 3, immediately below line 4, by inserting the
following:
"(h) The Department may adopt rules to implement the animal
abuse registry.".
