| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2859

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2859, on page 2, | ||||||
| 3 | immediately below line 6, by inserting the following:

| 4 | "Second chance felon" means a person who is currently | ||||||
| 5 | serving second chance probation or has fulfilled the terms and | ||||||
| 6 | conditions of second chance probation under Section 5-6-3.4 of | ||||||
| 7 | the Unified Code of Corrections."; and
| ||||||
| 8 | on page 4, immediately below line 1, by inserting the | ||||||
| 9 | following:
| ||||||
| 10 | "(e-3) In employment and appointments to fill positions in | ||||||
| 11 | the projects created under paragraphs (1) and (2) of subsection | ||||||
| 12 | (c), preference shall be given to qualified applicants who are | ||||||
| 13 | disadvantaged persons or second chance felons.".
