| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2072

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2072 on page 1, | ||||||
| 3 | line 5, after "355.4", by inserting "and by adding Section | ||||||
| 4 | 355.5"; and
| ||||||
| 5 | on page 2, immediately below line 23, by inserting the | ||||||
| 6 | following:
| ||||||
| 7 | "(215 ILCS 5/355.5 new) | ||||||
| 8 | Sec. 355.5. Dental coverage reimbursement; prohibitions. | ||||||
| 9 | No insurer, dental service plan corporation, professional | ||||||
| 10 | service corporation, insurance network leasing company, or any | ||||||
| 11 | company that amends, delivers, issues, or renews an individual | ||||||
| 12 | or group policy of accident and health insurance on or after | ||||||
| 13 | the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General | ||||||
| 14 | Assembly shall require a dental care provider to incur a fee to | ||||||
| 15 | access and obtain payment or reimbursement for services | ||||||
| 16 | provided. A dental plan carrier shall provide a dental care | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | provider with 100% of the contracted amount of the payment or | ||||||
| 2 | reimbursement.".
