AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 706
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 706 by deleting line
23 on page 1 through line 1 on page 2; and
on page 4, lines 20 and 21, by deleting "or physician" each
time it appears; and
on page 4, line 22, after "duties.", by inserting "A nurse may
dispose of any unused medications under this subsection only
after consulting with any investigating law enforcement agency
to ensure that the unused medications will not be needed as
evidence in an investigation."; and
by replacing line 23 on page 4 through line 4 on page 5 with the
following:
"(j) When an individual authorized to dispose of unused
medication under this Section disposes of unused medication

under this Section in good faith, the individual, and his or
her employer, employees, and agents, shall incur no criminal
liability or professional discipline."; and
by deleting line 6 on page 5 through line 2 on page 6.
