Safe
workplaces
——
workplace

violence
reports.

1.
It
is
the
policy
of
this
state
that
each
state
agency
3
provide
a
safe
workplace,
free
from
workplace
violence,
for
4
its
employees.
The
department
is
responsible
for
promotion
of
5
efforts
consistent
with
this
policy.

2.
The
head
of
each
state
agency
shall
report
instances
7
of
workplace
violence
to
the
department
on
forms
developed
by
8
the
department.
The
department
shall
compile,
on
a
quarterly
9
basis,
a
report
of
workplace
violence
reported
during
the
10
previous
quarter.
The
department
shall
submit
the
quarterly
11
report
to
the
governor
and
the
general
assembly.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
14
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
it
is
the
policy
of
this
state
that

each
state
agency
provide
a
safe
workplace,
free
from
workplace
17
violence,
for
its
employees.
The
bill
requires
each
state
18
agency
head
to
report
instances
of
workplace
violence
to
the
19
department
of
administrative
services.
The
bill
requires
the
20
department
of
administrative
services
to
submit
a
quarterly
21
report
on
reported
instances
of
workplace
violence
to
the
22
governor
and
the
general
assembly.
