RELATING
TO
THE
PROCEDURE
FOR
DISPOSAL
OF
CERTAIN
CITY
UTILITIES
BY
SALE.
BE
IT
ENACTED
BY
THE
GENERAL
ASSEMBLY
OF
THE
STATE
OF
IOWA:
Section
1.
Section
388.2A,
subsection
2,
paragraph
a,
Code
2019,
is
amended
by
adding
the
following
new
subparagraph:
NEW
SUBPARAGRAPH
.
(3)
Notwithstanding
subparagraph
(1),
the
governing
body
of
a
city
which
has
a
population
between
two
thousand
and
three
thousand,
according
to
the
2010
federal
decennial
census,
shall
not
be
required
to
obtain
appraisals
pursuant
to
this
paragraph
for
the
disposal
by
sale
of
a
Senate
File
620,
p.
2
city
utility
providing
telecommunications
services.
This
subparagraph
is
repealed
July
1,
2022.
