1.
Section
80.9,
Code
2014,
is
amended
by
adding
the

following
new
subsection:

The
department
of
public
safety
shall

develop
and
publish
a
notice
on
the
department’s
internet
site

of
the
existence
of
a
national,
toll-free
telephone
hotline
5
available
as
a
resource
for
service
providers
and
community

members
to
provide
information
relating
to
human
trafficking
7
and
to
assist
in
identifying
human
trafficking
victims.
The
8
notice
shall
provide
information
about
the
services
of
the
9
hotline,
including
the
reporting
of
suspected
human
trafficking
10
activity,
resource
and
referral
programs
for
victims
of
human
11
trafficking,
and
training
opportunities
for
service
providers.

of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
department
of
public
safety
to

on
the

internet
site

of
the
existence
of
a
national,

telephone
hotline

as
a

for

and

trafficking
