              SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO.    
              BY  COMMITTEE ON RULES AND ADMINISTRATION
  1  1 A Concurrent Resolution to approve and confirm the
  1  2    appointment of Kristie Hirschman as Ombudsman.
  1  3    WHEREAS, chapter 2C provides for the appointment of
  1  4 the Ombudsman with the approval and confirmation of
  1  5 a constitutional majority of both the Senate and the
  1  6 House of Representatives; and
  1  7    WHEREAS, on January 4, 2017, the Legislative
  1  8 Council appointed Ms. Kristie Hirschman as
  1  9 Ombudsman for a four=year term commencing July 1,
  1 10 2017, subject to approval and confirmation of the
  1 11 appointment by resolution of the Senate and House of
  1 12 Representatives; NOW THEREFORE,
  1 13    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, THE HOUSE OF
  1 14 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, That Ms. Kristie Hirschman
  1 15 is approved and confirmed as Ombudsman for a four=year
  1 16 term which commences July 1, 2017, as provided in
  1 17 sections 2C.3 and 2C.5.
