subsection
2,
Code

is

amended
by
striking
the
subsection.

483A.12,
subsection
2,
Code
2015,
is
amended

to
read
as
follows:

2.
A
license
agent
shall
retain
a
writing
fee
of
fifty
5
cents
from
the
sale
of
each
license
or
combination
package
of
6
licenses
except
that
the
writing
fee
for
a
free
deer
or
wild
7
turkey
hunting
license
,
as
authorized
under
section
483A.24,
8
subsection
2
,
shall
be
one
dollar.
The
writing
fee
for
a
9
combination
package
of
licenses
or
a
multi-year
license
shall
10
be
the
same
as
if
each
annual
license
was
purchased
separately.

If
a
county
recorder
is
a
license
agent,
the
writing
fees
12
retained
by
the
county
recorder
shall
be
deposited
in
the
13
general
fund
of
the
county.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
the
writing
fee
retained
by
a
license
18
agent
that
issues
combination
hunting
and
fishing
licenses
19
shall
be
the
same
as
if
each
annual
license
was
purchased
20
separately.
Currently,
the
writing
fee
of
50
cents
from
the
21
sale
of
a
combination
package
of
licenses
is
the
same
as
for
22
the
purchase
of
a
single
annual
license.
The
natural
resource
23
commission
offers
three-year
hunting
or
fishing
licenses
and
24
combination
one-year
hunting
and
fishing
licenses.
25
Code
section
483A.9A(2),
which
requires
that
the
total
cost
26
of
combination
packages
of
licenses
must
be
less
than
the
27
total
cost
of
the
licenses
if
each
was
purchased
separately,
28
is
stricken.
