who

degree

has
practiced
law
for
more

four
decades
in
Iowa
and
as
an
English
barrister;

and

WHEREAS,
Captain
Critelli
is
a
past
president
of

the
American
Academy
of
Alternate
Dispute
Resolution

Attorneys,
the
Iowa
State
Bar
Association,
and
the
Iowa
11
Academy
of
Trial
Lawyers;
currently
serves
as
chair
of
12
the
Ethics
and
Practice
Guidelines
Committee
of
the

Iowa
State
Bar
Association;
and
is
a
fellow
of
the

American
College
of
Trial
Lawyers,
the
International

Society
of
Barristers,
and
the
American
Board
of
Trial

Advocates;
and

WHEREAS,
Captain
Critelli
is

one

the

Critelli

taking

Court,

Bar;

after
September
11,
2001,
Captain
Critelli

the
need
to
give
something
back
to
society
and

volunteered
with
the
Civil
Air
Patrol;
and

WHEREAS,
in
2008
at
the
age
of
65,
Captain
Critelli

joined
the
United
States
Coast
Guard
Auxiliary,
a

volunteer
force
that
was
organized
in
1939;
and
8
WHEREAS,
in
2010,
Captain
Critelli
was
awarded
the
9
rank
of
captain;
and

WHEREAS,
in
2018,
Captain
Critelli
was
the
recipient
11
of
the
Ten
Years
of
Service
Award
from
the
United
12
States
Coast
Guard
Auxiliary,
Flotilla
4;
and
13
WHEREAS,
both
in
his
public
career
and
private
life,

Captain
Critelli
has
been
a
tireless
advocate
regarding
15
international
litigation,
domestic
and
international
16
arbitration
and
mediation,
intellectual
property,
and
17
computer-assisted
litigation;
NOW
THEREFORE,

BE
IT
RESOLVED
BY
THE
HOUSE
OF
REPRESENTATIVES,
That

the
House
of
Representatives
thanks
Captain
Nicholas

Critelli,
Jr.,
Esq.,
for
his
service
of
over
a
decade

in
the
United
States
Coast
Guard
Auxiliary,
and
decades

of
service
to
the
legal
profession,
and
wishes
him
and

his
family
the
