1.
Section
137D.1,
subsection
3,
Code
2020,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

“Home
bakery”
means
a
business
on
the
premises
of

a
residence
in
which
prepared
food
is
created
for
sale
or
4
resale,
for
consumption
off
the
premises
,
if
the
business
has
5
gross
annual
sales
of
prepared
food
of
less
than
thirty-five
6
thousand
dollars
.
However,
“home
bakery”
does
not
include
7
a
residence
in
which
food
is
prepared
to
be
used
or
sold
by
8
churches,
fraternal
societies,
charitable
organizations,
or
9
civic
organizations.

does

the

This
bill
relates
to
the
operation
of
home
bakeries
licensed

the
department
of
inspections

appeals.
The
bill
removes
15
a
provision
in
the
definition
of
“home
bakery”
limiting
such
16
businesses
to
annual
sales
of
less
than
$35,000.
