Lifetime
hunting
license

residents
sixty-five
years
of
age
or
older.

A
person
who
is
a
resident
of
this
state
and
who
is
or
will

turn
sixty-five
years
of
age
or
older
is
eligible
to
apply
for
4
and
obtain
a
lifetime
hunting
license
under
section
483A.1,
5
subsection
1,
paragraph
“j”
.
The
person
may
apply
for
the
6
lifetime
hunting
license
beginning
on
the
first
day
of
the
7
first
month
of
the
calendar
year
in
which
the
person
will
8
attain
the
age
of
sixty-five.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
an
Iowa
resident
who
is
or
will
turn

65
years
of
age
or
older
is
eligible
to
apply
for
and
obtain
14
a
lifetime
hunting
license.
The
person
may
apply
for
the
15
lifetime
license
beginning
on
the
first
day
of
the
first
month
16
of
the
calendar
year
in
which
the
person
will
attain
the
age
of
17
65.
The
fee
for
a
lifetime
license
under
Code
section
483A.1,
18
subsection
1,
paragraph
“j”
is
$50.50.
