amended
to
read
as
follows:

For
the
fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2011,
and
each

fiscal
year,
of
the
amount
of
preschool
foundation

aid
received
by
a
school
district
for
a
fiscal
year
in

accordance
with
section
257.16
,
not
more
than
five
ten
percent
6
may
be
used
by
the
school
district
for
administering
the
7
district’s
approved
local
program.

For
the
fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2012,
and
each

succeeding
fiscal
year,
of
the
amount
of
preschool
foundation

aid
received
by
a
school
district
for
a
fiscal
year
in

accordance
with
section
257.16
,
not
less

ninety-five

ninety
percent
of
the
per
pupil
amount
shall
be
passed
through

to
a
community-based
provider
for
each
pupil
enrolled
in

the
district’s
approved
local
program.
For
the
fiscal
year

beginning
July
1,
2011,

each
succeeding
fiscal
year,

not
more
than
five
ten
percent
of
the
amount
of
preschool

foundation
aid
passed
through
to
a
community-based
provider

may
be
used
by
the
community-based
provider
for
administrative

costs.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does

constitute

the
members

the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
the
amount
of
administrative
costs
24
allowed
under
the
statewide
preschool
program
for
four-year-old
25
children.

Under
current
law,
for
both
a
school
district
and
a
community
27
provider
under
the
program,
the
administrative
costs
allowed
28
to
be
paid
from
state
preschool
foundation
aid
is
limited
to
5
29
percent.
The
bill
increases
the
limit
to
10
percent.
