  1  1    Section 1.  Section 8A.326, subsection 4, Code 2018, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1  3    NEW PARAGRAPH.  d.  Establish and maintain an endowment fund
  1  4 for musical arts for purposes of funding and conducting piano
  1  5 competitions and providing scholarships to select competition
  1  6 participants.

  1  8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1  9 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1 10    This bill authorizes the Terrace Hill commission to
  1 11 establish and maintain an endowment fund for musical arts for
  1 12 purposes of funding and conducting piano competitions and
  1 13 providing scholarships to select competition participants.
