Volunteers
authorized.

A
school
district
is
authorized
to
utilize
the
services
of

volunteers
throughout
the
district
to
assist
licensed
teachers

and
other
school
employees
in
the
performance
of
their
duties.

For
the
purposes
of
this
section,
“volunteer”
means
a
person
5
receiving
no
wage,
benefit,
or
other
compensation
in
return
for
6
the
person’s
time
or
effort.

EXPLANATION

This
bill
authorizes
school
districts
to
utilize
the
9
services
of
volunteers
throughout
the
district
to
assist
10
licensed
teachers
and
other
school
employees
in
the
performance
11
of
their
duties.
The
bill
provides
a
definition
for
12
“volunteer”.
