H.F. 168 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 279.68 Volunteers authorized. 1 A school district is authorized to utilize the services of 2 volunteers throughout the district to assist licensed teachers 3 and other school employees in the performance of their duties. 4 For the purposes of this section, “volunteer” means a person 5 receiving no wage, benefit, or other compensation in return for 6 the person’s time or effort. 7 EXPLANATION 8 This bill authorizes school districts to utilize the 9 services of volunteers throughout the district to assist 10 licensed teachers and other school employees in the performance 11 of their duties.
