SENATE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

 

REQUESTING the State and City and County of Honolulu to clean and maintain the section of North Road between Hanakahi Street and Iroquois Road.

 

 


     WHEREAS, North Road is one of the primary thoroughfares in Ewa Beach and is used daily by many of the residents of Ewa Beach; and

 

     WHEREAS, North Road has been burdened by years of illegal dumping activities and a lack of regular maintenance and repairs, especially in the section of North Road between Hanakahi Street and Iroquois Road; and

 

     WHEREAS, the amount of illegally dumped garbage on North Road is a significant cause for concern for the residents of Ewa Beach; and

 

     WHEREAS, the current condition of North Road is an eyesore and a potential environmental and health hazard; now, therefore,

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Thirtieth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2019, the House of Representatives concurring, that the State and City and County of Honolulu are requested to clean and maintain the section of North Road between Hanakahi Street and Iroquois Road; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Director of Transportation, Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, Director of Transportation Services of the City and County of Honolulu, and Chair of the Honolulu City Council.
