SENATE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

 

REQUESTING A SUNRISE ANALYSIS of THE PROPOSED LICENSING OF COLON HYDROTHERAPists AND COLON HYDROTHERAPY ESTABLISHMENTS.

 

 


     WHEREAS, section 26H-6, Hawaii Revised Statutes, requires a concurrent resolution requesting a sunrise analysis by the Auditor of any measure proposing a new regulation of unregulated profession and occupation; and

 

     WHEREAS, S.B. No.    , Regular Session of 2014, proposes to license and regulate the practice of colon hydrotherapy by requiring licensing of colon hydrotherapists and colon hydrotherapy establishments; and

 

     WHEREAS, colon hydrotherapy is not presently regulated; and

 

     WHEREAS, the practice of colon hydrotherapy may have consequences for the public health and safety; now, therefore,

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Twenty-seventh Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2014, the House of Representatives concurring, that the Auditor is requested to conduct an analysis pursuant to section 26H-6, Hawaii Revised Statutes, of the proposed licensing of colon hydrotherapists and colon hydrotherapy establishments under S.B. No.    , Regular Session of 2014; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor is requested to report findings and recommendations in accordance with section 26H-6, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2015; and

 


     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to the Auditor.
