A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the small business regulatory review board.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The legislature finds that the small business regulatory review board serves an important function in state government by providing small business input into the rulemaking process.  The legislature further finds that the board's mission is important for small businesses and Hawaii's economy.

     The purpose of this Act is to appropriate funds to the department of business, economic development, and tourism to provide additional resources for the small business regulatory review board.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $50,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2017-2018 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 for the department of business, economic development, and tourism to provide additional resources for the small business regulatory review board.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of business, economic development, and tourism for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2017.
