A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to domestic violence.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $100,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 for the department of health to contract for the performance of outreach and education on domestic violence issues for ethnic minorities and training for state sheriffs, county police, first responders, parole officers, and probation officers on issues related to domestic violence.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2016.
