A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to procurement.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  (a)  The state procurement officer, in consultation with the procurement policy board, shall study the feasibility of and develop recommendations for replacing the state procurement code, chapter 103D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, with applicable provisions of the federal procurement code, Title 41, United States Code, and associated administrative regulations. 

(b)  The state procurement officer shall submit an interim report of findings and recommendations to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the 2015 regular session.

     (c)  The state procurement officer shall submit a final report of findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation, no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the 2016 regular session.

     SECTION 2.  Chapter 103D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is repealed.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval; provided that section 2 of this Act shall take effect on July, 1, 2016.
