TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE, 2010
STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the bureau of conveyances.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 502, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§502-    Adjoining public right-of-way.  Upon the request of any adjoining landowner, the registrar shall provide to the landowner any information of record relating to the management, control, and title of any public road, alley, trail, street, way, or other public highway and any waterway or water course, including rivers, streams, ditches, and auwai.  The request shall be made in a form prescribed by the registrar."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on January 1, 2011.
