A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to PUBLIC landS.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Chapter 266, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§266‑    Use of public land; revenue-generating purposes.  Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter to the contrary, the department may develop and implement revenue-generating operations, programs, or developments, alone or in conjunction with another state department or agency or a private person or organization, on lands within the department's jurisdiction."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
