STATE OF HAWAII

HOUSE RESOLUTION

relating to the committee assignments of the house of representatives of the thirty-second legislature.

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Thirty-second Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2024, that Tyson K. Miyake, who has been duly appointed and seated as a member of the House of Representatives from the Tenth Representative District to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of former Representative Troy N. Hashimoto to the Hawaii State Senate, shall be a member of the Housing Committee, Judiciary & Hawaiian Affairs Committee, and Transportation Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that MAY BESARIO MIZUNO, who has been duly appointed and seated as a member of the House of Representatives from the Twenty-ninth Representative District to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Representative John M. Mizuno, shall be a member of the Corrections, Military, & Veterans Committee; Education Committee; Higher Education & Technology Committee; and Water & Land Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Luke A. Evslin shall no longer be a member of the Education Committee and Higher Education & Technology Committee, but shall be added as the Chair of the Housing Committee and a member of the Judiciary & Hawaiian Affairs Committee, and shall remain as a member of the Transportation Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Trish La Chica shall be added as the Vice Chair of the Education Committee and shall remain as a member of the Economic Development Committee, Higher Education & Technology Committee, and Tourism Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Lisa Marten shall no longer be the Vice Chair of the Education Committee and a member of the Housing Committee and Transportation Committee, but shall be added as the Chair of the Human Services Committee and a member of the Education Committee and Health & Homelessness Committee, and shall remain as a member of the Higher Education & Technology Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended by this Resolution, all appointments and committee memberships of the House of Representatives as set forth in H.R. No. 4 and H.R. No. 18 adopted by the House of Representatives of the Thirty-second Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2023, shall remain in full force and effect.
