A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-first representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2012-2013 to be expended by the department of education:
A. Honowai elementary school, Oahu
Construction to renovate building A toilets to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Construction $147,000
Total funding $147,000
B. Honowai elementary school, Oahu
Construction to replace steps for building H.
Construction $170,000
Total funding $170,000
C. Honowai elementary school, Oahu
Construction for additional parking.
Construction $350,000
Total funding $350,000
D. Honowai elementary school, Oahu
Construction to install air conditioning.
Construction $3,500,000
Total funding $3,500,000
E. Honowai elementary school, Oahu
Construction to install two water fountains in the cafeteria.
Construction $15,000
Total funding $15,000
F. Honowai elementary school, Oahu
Construction for electrical upgrades.
Construction $2,000,000
Total funding $2,000,000
G. Kaleiopuu elementary school, Oahu
Construction for second ramp to assist with campus evacuation.
Construction $450,000
Total funding $450,000
H. Kaleiopuu elementary school, Oahu
Construction
to install air conditioning.
Construction $3,500,000
Total funding $3,500,000
I. Waikele elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, equipment, ground and site improvements for resurfacing of basketball court, creation of adjacent playground concrete surface, removal of existing equipment and replacement with age appropriate pre-kindergarten playground equipment.
Total funding $175,000
J. Waikele elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for a six classroom building; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.
Total funding $6,600,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012.
